THE JERSEY TRIP FROM HELL!!!!!!
So, without getting into too many details...Katrina, David and I were sent to New Jersey for a site visit. We were planned to come back the day after a major snow storm. So, we tried to be good planners and crammed as much as possible into the days we had so we coould eliminate a day and leave before the storm hit.
Well, we accomplished our work task and we were able to move our flights to the evening prior to the storm, but after several hours of waiting...Continental was short by one stewardess, so they canceled the flight. And because of the storm that was coming a few hours later, they canceled the flights for the next 2 days.
So our choices were to stay in NJ 4 to 5 days (based on when they said they could get us out), or rent a car and drive back. The driving option required us leaving immediately (which was midnight by the way), to miss the storms.
Yes, you guessed it...we rented a car and drive 27.5 hours back to KC!!! It was an adventure to say the least, but we all made it back in one piece.
