As I have stated before I am a science nut, so here are some links to images taken by astronauts in the International Space Station.

Select your state then city and see when they are orbiting over your area.  Here is the next best time to view the ISS in Kansas City, just before sunrise or after sunset is the best time it will be brighter than Venus.
