2011 Career Day
This past week the La Petite Academy on Shawnee Mission and K-7 spent the afternoon at Lickel Architecture learning about what fun it is being an architect. This has been an annual event for the past several years and we really enjoy having the kids come out and spend time with us.
The staff prepare games revolving around architecture like:
- Architectural Bingo...using flash cards of architectural elements.
- Create an Elevation & Floor Plan of a House...the kids cut-out doors, windows, beds, and furniture and glued them to the plans and elevations.
- Color and build a house... they cut out a house and colored it in with whatever they wanted and glued them to yards they created.
